OpenRouter routes requests to over 300 models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, Mistral, and dozens of smaller labs through a single OpenAI-compatible endpoint, with automatic fallbacks when a provider has an outage and real-time cost-per-token comparison across all of them. It's become the standard way to build a model-agnostic application, or to reach models that aren't otherwise available through a direct API relationship.
