JetBrains Junie

Junie is JetBrains’ autonomous coding agent for JetBrains IDEs and the command line. It explores a project, proposes a plan, edits code across files, runs terminal commands and tests, and reports progress while the developer reviews the result.

Its tight IDE integration gives it access to project structure, inspections, refactoring tools, and debugger sessions rather than relying only on text files. Junie supports multiple model providers, project instructions, external MCP tools, local-model runtimes, and both interactive and more autonomous operating modes.
