Gemini Code Assist Standard and Enterprise bring Google’s AI coding support into Visual Studio Code, JetBrains IDEs, Android Studio, and Google Cloud development workflows.

It provides code completion, generation, explanation, transformations, chat, local-codebase context, and a multi-step agent mode that can plan and carry out development tasks. Enterprise capabilities add code customization against private repositories and deeper Google Cloud integrations. Google retired the former individual IDE tier in June 2026 in favor of Antigravity, while the Standard and Enterprise editions remain active.
