Gemini

Gemini is Google's AI assistant, built on the Gemini 3 model family and available on the web, Android, iOS, and inside Search, Workspace, and other Google apps. It handles text conversation, reasons over uploaded documents and images, generates images and music snippets, and supports live voice and camera interaction so a user can point a phone at something and ask questions about it in real time. Through Extensions and deep app integrations it can also take actions in Gmail, Docs, Maps, and YouTube instead of just replying in a chat window.

It's built for people already living in Google's ecosystem: students doing homework and research, professionals drafting documents or digging through files in Workspace, and everyday users who want a voice-first assistant on their phone. Its research tools can pull together multi-step answers from live web results, and its writing and image features cover everything from email replies to full compositions.

What sets it apart from other chatbots is the direct access to Google's own data and services: Search, Maps, YouTube, Gmail, and the rest of Workspace, plus the reach of shipping as the default assistant across Android devices and the Google app itself. That distribution and integration is hard for a standalone chatbot to match, even one with comparable raw model quality.
