About

Building apps with AI has never been easier. Fixing them when they break is a different story. If you've built something with Lovable, Bolt, Cursor, Replit, or v0, you've probably hit an error you couldn't read, then watched the AI "fix" the same bug in circles while burning through your credits and your patience.

Error Whisperer is built for exactly that moment. Paste the error message and the code it points to, and you get two things back in seconds: a plain-English explanation of what actually went wrong, and a working fix with corrected code you can drop straight in. No jargon, no lecture, and no assumption that you already know what a "hydration mismatch" or "RLS policy" is.

It was made by a self-taught builder, not a big dev-tools company. Founder Brian Lavallee runs heavy equipment in Washington and taught himself to build apps with AI. The hard part was never the building. It was the errors. Error Whisperer is the tool he wished he'd had.

How it works

  1. Paste your error and the related code.
  2. Get a plain-English explanation of the cause.
  3. Get the fix: the corrected code, and where it goes.
  4. Tell us if it worked with a quick thumbs up or down, which helps us keep improving.

What it handles The everyday errors that stop AI-built apps: "Cannot read properties of undefined," CORS errors, React hydration mismatches, "Module not found," Supabase row-level security errors, failed Vercel builds, undefined environment variables, OpenAI 401s, React hooks rule violations, Prisma client problems, and many more across JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node, Python, and popular backends.

Free guides Error Whisperer also publishes 15 free, plain-English guides to the most common vibe-coding errors at /errors. Each one explains the cause and the usual fix, so you can learn the pattern and stop hitting the same wall.

Pricing that fits hobbyists You can try it free with one plain-English explanation a day, no account needed. When you need the full fix, a single fix is $5. Builder is $15/month for 25 fixes, and Pro is $39/month for 100 fixes. Sign-in is by email link, and credits are saved to your account. Monthly plans refill automatically, and you can manage or cancel anytime from the billing page.

Who it's for

  • Non-developers and "vibe coders" building with AI app builders
  • Indie hackers and solo founders shipping MVPs fast
  • Students and beginners learning to code with AI
  • Developers who just want a fast second opinion on a confusing stack trace

Why not just ask ChatGPT? General chatbots often guess, repeat the same broken fix, or explain at an expert level. Error Whisperer is tuned for one job: turning confusing errors from AI-generated code into a clear explanation and a fix that works, written for people who didn't write the code themselves.

Stop going in circles. Paste the error, understand it, and get back to building.
