Azure Speech in Foundry Tools, formerly Azure AI Speech, provides cloud APIs and SDKs for text-to-speech, speech recognition, speech translation, and speaker recognition. Its neural voices synthesize multilingual speech for apps, accessibility, media, contact centers, and AI agents, with SSML controls for pronunciation, style, prosody, roles, and timing. The service also supports real-time streaming, audio avatars, custom speech and approved custom neural voices, plus integration with Microsoft Foundry and other Azure services.
