AUTOMATIC1111's Stable Diffusion web UI became the default front end for running image models locally. It offers txt2img, inpainting, extensions and a huge plug-in ecosystem.
Development has slowed as newer UIs emerged, but many tutorials still use it. Requires a GPU for decent speed.
