Ajelix

Ajelix is a web-based AI toolkit built around spreadsheet work. Its core is a formula generator and explainer: describe what you need in plain language and it returns a working Excel or Google Sheets formula, or paste in an existing formula and get a plain-English breakdown of what it does. It handles VBA macros and Google Apps Script too, for cases where a single formula isn't enough to automate a task.

Beyond formulas, Ajelix has grown into a broader suite of over a dozen small AI tools: a spreadsheet template generator, a dashboard builder, a formula translator between Excel and Sheets syntax, and support for Sheets-specific functions like QUERY, IMPORTRANGE, and GOOGLEFINANCE. It's aimed at analysts, accountants, and other spreadsheet-heavy office workers who don't want to hand-write nested formulas or dig through documentation every time they hit an unfamiliar function.

It's available as a standalone web app and as add-ins for Excel and Google Sheets, so the AI tools can sit directly inside the spreadsheet rather than requiring a separate browser tab. Compared to broader AI chat assistants, Ajelix's advantage is that it's narrowly scoped to spreadsheet syntax and offers a free formula generator that doesn't require signup, which lowers the barrier for quick one-off formula help.
